The Portage Invite didn’t disappoint with good conditions, a fast course, and loads of competition.  In fact, there were 42 division 3 teams!

The boys were led by Emmett Elsner (19:00) and Koda Worley (19:05–Personal Record).  Luke Tyers (19:33) and Brayden Bloom (19:47) were the 3rd and 4th men.  The remaining Eagles all ran extremely well.  Levi Neeley ran a huge PR (21:05) as the final scorer as did David Cox in 6th.  Eli Gee ran his season best time as well as  the final varsity runner.  The boys team was 33rd and their race featured over 430 runners!

The girls team finished 5th, led by Elli Max and Shelby Zimmer who both finished in the top 10 out of 369 runners!  Zimmer ran her PR and now is the 8th fastest Lady Eagle ever!  Bayla Curtis (PR!) and Joselyn Vogel also medaled for the team!  Kelsey Elsner moved up 27 places during the race to finish just out of the medals with Brooke Scheidel close behind with her season best time. Audra Niemi also moved up 20 places during her race.
