Eagle XC Makes a Splash at Hopkins Invite

Splish Splash!  It was WET, but the Eagle Cross Runners were determined to have a good race at the Hopkins Invitational.  They trudged through the puddles and mud and still managed to secure some great times.  It was the first meet where it wasn’t hot, and the light rain was refreshing???

Kent City’s boys team had been seeded 15th and ran so well they ended up 9th!  Most boys ran faster times and finished higher than expected!  Emmett Elsner ended in 25th place with a new personal record (PR).  Luke Tyers and Kyle Hull also ran their best ever and secured a medal for their efforts.  Koda Worley gutted it out for the team as the 4th man while David Cox was the final scorer with his PR.  Levi Neeley was close behind and then Eli Gee completed his season best (SB).

Even though a couple girls fell, the Lady Eagles lived up to their billing as the third best team and highest in Division 3.  Elli Max ran her fastest of the season for 3rd place.  Shelby Zimmer (14th), Bayla Curtis (19th), Joselyn Vogel (21st), and Kelsey Elsner (24th) all finished within a minute of each other.   Audra Niemi (31st) and Brooke Scheidel (34th) were also medalists in the competitive field.  Scheidel ran her SB and Niemi and Curtis ran their PRs on the soggy course.
